A fairy tale dream proposal specially tailored for the hopeless romantic: this one began with a private tuk-tuk ride that whisked the lucky couple away to Florence’s picture-perfect lookout point at Piazzale Michelangelo, where they were then escorted to the garden paradise of a five-star-hotel in the midst of lush trees, terraced gardens, and spellbinding views.

The location–where the spirit of a Renaissance monastery meets modern indulgence–is recognized today as one of Italy’s finest small boutique hotels and is bursting with centuries of history and fascinating medieval architecture. There, the couple savored superb Tuscan cuisine on the alfresco loggia amidst Italian gardens bursting with lemon trees, fragrant roses, and a 400-year-old wisteria, alongside sweeping views of Florence and the Arno Valley to take your breath away.

There, with some of the most breathtaking views of Florence imaginable, the couple enjoyed a romantic aperitivo from the garden veranda, before a dinner featuring a finely-selected menu of Florence’s most elevated dishes. A relaxing stroll down the charming streets of Florence led the couple to the feet of the Duomo for the grand proposal.
